CopperEye Greenwich is specifically designed to provide quick SQL access to large volumes of business transaction data stored in flat files. Once configured for a specific file format, Greenwich detects new instances of the file type on the underlying file system and immediately parses and indexes the file contents. The newly indexed records are then accessible through ODBC with Greenwich operating as a remote database server. Thus CopperEye does not load or move the data it finds but provides direct access to the data via standard SQL.
